Proof that really amazing video doesn’t have to be complicated. With the right premise and great talent - the camera ceases to exist, or matter. Too cool.

PSA’s can - and should - be every bit as hard hitting as a great Hollywood film. So we were so excited to see Darren Aronofsky pair up with the amazing Montana Meth Project to produce web videos that speak directly, and loudly, to the audience that needs it most. Teenage kids.

The Montana Meth Project, for those that don’t know - is one of the most widely successful anti-drug PSA campaigns in history, recently recognized as the third most effective philanthropy in the world.

So what’s the lesson? First and foremost - for non-profits - don’t shy away from your message. PSA’s work best when they tell true stories that are emotionally charged. See: A&E’s fantastic television series “Intervention” for inspiration.

You’ve got something important to say - you’ve got a message that needs to be heard. So get real about your audience, get clear on your brand, hire great production talent. And then YELL IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS. As loudly, and as forcefully as you can.
